- Small, medium & large boxes. Do not underestimate the number of small boxes you will need. Small boxes are less expensive and are much easier to carry.
- 4-6 rolls of “packing” tape for taping boxes. Avoid purchasing tape guns because they are more expensive and unnecessary. Better to purchase too much tape than not enough.
- 1 or 2 packages of wrapping paper for wrapping dishes and breakables.
- Colored tabs for grouping boxes by room.
- Mattress/box spring covers especially if they are under warranty. Some warranties are voided when mattresses or box springs are dirty or damaged.
- 1 or 2 thick permanent markers for making notes on boxes.
- Bubble wrap for wrapping pictures and flat screen tv’s.
- Shrink wrap to bundle items together.
- Trash bags with drawstrings are the most affordable way to transport hanging clothes. Simply poke a hole in the bottom of bags and bundle 7-10 hanging items into a single trash bag. Tying the drawstring will seal off the bag.
